Post by 1303rocks » Mon May 05, 2008 7:11 am

Hello all! Any one no where I can get new rear shox for my '72 coupe? Presumably they were a universal item fitted to loads of BMC stuff in the seventies? I really dont want to pay £30 a side from Earlpart......
Mark 1 coupe, used daily, 23K on the clock, have plans (finances permiting)

There is 1 rear shock on ebay at the moment. I would remove one and take it to your local motor factors and see if they can match it.

You could try Buckley Tyres, you'd have to ring them and get to talk to one of the guys in the spares shop, when I was there getting my exhaust fitted I was offered a pair for about £25 don't know if they still have them. their number is 01244544575.
Hope this helps, alternatively, they do pop up on ebay now and then and if you're really desparate, I have a second hand pair which are ok (i think)
