Hi Sam

Having seen your TC at the Resto Show last year, I think pink works well. It's a shame that it takes 35 years to turn that colour and it could so easily be spoilt with some T cut.

This is the state of one of the wings when it came off.

I have also spent a lot of the weekend putting her back together - lot's still to do to get her to the National. Yes I know that's a 1.3 grille, I have one of these and an SDL horizontal bar and a TC grille, so I can play with the look.

Chris I have t-cut the car a few times, so much that is some areas it's going purple from the blue underneath! Also less than 35 years as it has not always been red/pink/black roofed

I think Frank will vouch for me when I say the paint is past even T-cuts efforts! And when you saw it it was a lot less pink than when I first got it!

Lookin good! 1.3 grill for the win! Set's it off better and gives it a sort of rally esq look?

Good luck with the re-fit!

Due to a number of problems, including breaking the indicator stalk clamp during the refit, I shan't be at the National in the Coupe - altogether now Aaaaah.

I am coming down though and will be looking for a ride (share petrol?) for the Saturday Road Run and will have to make do with taking pics of other peoples cars on Sunday.

Anyone fancy a passenger on Saturday?

I wouldn't mind Chris but at the moment it looks like I may have to come up just for the Sunday. My hotel booking fell through as they double booked! ! =S

I will be on the 8:30 boat to Lymington. It is about an hour and 40 minutes drive up to Sparkford so say 12:00 at the Sprakford Inn? Mom and Dad will be there then too.

Great Ben,

In the meantime, I have been working on the under-bonnet - pretty aint it it?

The radiator is special too, 30% more cooling pipes than standard = more cooling. I will be going over to an electric fan and dispensing with the engine driven yellow thing, but not yet.

I got the CD disk of the bodywork repair and preparation from Paul whilst at the National and have posted it on the MarinaCoupe website to avoid clogging this forum up(link below).

Follow the link to the contents strip "Bodywork" about 90 pics all told.

Enjoy

Nice pictures there Chris.

Great welding and a credit to Paul's work!
I like the rear arches in particular.

Look forward to seeing the finished motor!
Paul.
