Having become a new owner of 2 coupes in NZ, one 72 for parts and a 72 TC to put on the road, can anyone tell me where the body/chassis identification plate is please?
They are both Australian models with the 1750 motor.

In Australia they are on the complience plate. Straight out of the book.....
It is located under the bonnet, topside of the left hand guard valance. (if that makes sence). But you are in NZ and as far as I know , you don't get a complience plate!! I don't have an Aus built Marina at the moment but I can remember there being a no stamped to the left of the battery.

Thanks guys. Found the number, or should I say the remains of it. It's blurred by surface rust and I can't read it. Never mind.
Any NZ members with a set of Rostyles out there?

Not here sorry - but I imagine you and I may have different stud patterns anyway.?
My UK models have a very narrow stud pattern, shared by only a few other makes.
If yours also measure 3.75"pcd then Triumph Spitfire/GT6 rims will bolt on.
Another option is to have your steels widened - Elite Wheels in CH do them for $45 a corner - had mine taken to 7" - no balance problems.
You can also get Superlites drilled to suit by Performance Wheels in Hamilton, but they will cost about a grand.
http://www.performancewheels.co.nz/performance.html
Fairly critical that you maintain the original offset, as there is not any spare room behind the rims at the front - only the 13x7 in the middle of the webpage is suitable as 7" fit - with 7N offset = deep dish.
My choice is 7" using 205.60/13 tyres of any description - they are only $100 each right now.
If you view the vehicles in my garage on this site you will see several examples of both wheels.
Cheers,
Kilroy

Rostyles in NZ
Thanks for the advice. I've seen your webpage Your cars look great!!
My boy agrees with you re the other wheels. I like the rostyle look. Something will turn up. The car has a fair few things to do before it hits the road,
