Watched Classic Gear last night, they had an Allegro which did 49.7 mpg which was calculated properly.
What mpg does your Marina do?

Ay up Steve,
Well here goes, these are my figures so the "not on a run figures "are from a busy city that is hilly and has lots of traffic" the run is at a steady 55/60mph and a car in a reasonable state of tune.
Marina 1300 around town 24mpg-28mpg on a steady run 33mpg-38mpg
Ital 1.3 " " 26mpg-32mpg " " " " 40mpg-46mpg (down to the "A" series engines improved economy)
Marina 1700 " " 26mph-30mpg " " " " 40mpg-45mpg
Marina 1800 " " 18mph-22mpg " " " " 28mpg-36mpg
Marina 1800 TC " 18mpg max " " " " 28mpg max (i have never ever managed to get better fuel consumption figures out of a TC ever out of the 5 i have owned even in prime tune to be honest 26mpg ish at best)
Ital 2.0 (auto) " " 18mph-20mph " " " " 34mph-40mph
please note these are from my own findings and my experiences of owning these cars (never owned a estate though)

My 1.8 SDL has done 38 mpg on the 50 mph long run back home.
Since then 25 mpg on my local 10 mile commute...
Just fitted electronic ignition, set up the timing and leaned up 1/3rd of a turn so I am hoping for 30 mpg...
My dad always used to get 32 mpg from his 1.8 sdl on a 30 mile steady commute.
