Beaulieu Auto Jumble

Post by Uncle Frank » Sun May 17, 2009 8:14 pm

Went to the Autojumble today, not as big as the Autumn jumble but well worth a day out, the weather was a bit dodgy but in between the showers i managed to find a few good bits and pieces including a genuine N/S/F wing for £75!, which had to be the bargain of the day for me  , also grabbed a couple of spare under-riders for a mk1, along with a couple of new door handles.
I was also looking for bits for the Humber Hawk i am currently restoring and found everything i needed for that too!, so despite the crap weather i got all i wanted...result! :D
The `Classics Monthly` Stand had a nice looking Suntor camper parked outside, looks like it belongs to one of the staff so maybe we will see some future features on this car, well you never know ay! , there were some fantastic cars for sale in the Automart including the best A40 Devon pick-up i have ever seen, it was like new and priced at £12,750!, still it was nice  , there were a couple of Allegros, one in Pageant blue for £1,500 which was very clean, all in all loads of stuff for sale but not much was selling i`m afraid  , sign of the times i think, still it was a good day out, roll on September!

Hi Frank, I went on Saturday! :)

Had a good day, picked up some gen rear brake shoes as spares, 2 gen new rear exhaust brackets and a few small bits and pieces to help finish off some of my TC.
The bargain of the day for me was a crimp tool for £5 which to buy new is £100 and this had not been used
You can always sell it on if you can't use it and unlike the chap selling it, I knew what it was for! :D

also there were some second hand panels from a White Estate!
I think I saw those under rides also, large box of them! Again I still get confused with Maxi ones and I did not need any so left them. I was hoping someone else would get them as a bargain!

My Sons first Auto jumble at 7 months and he loved it! I think the wife liked it as well. Mainly at the end when she saw all the Damliar Darts and other cars for sale.
Still had to shower dodge between 12 and 1pm, but worth going.

Paul.

Hi all,

When I did the photoshoot for "Classics Monthly" back in March, there was a mention of the Suntor in the fleet.
Andrew Roberts, the journalist, is a well built lad, like myself and the magazine was talking about having some fun with a feature on smaller campers, with him squeezing in :!:

Should be interesting

8) Thanks Jan ivar, i think i`m ok for most bits on the hawk, the only things missing completely are the 15" wheel trim rings which were chrome, other than that, she is still in pretty good nick apart from the paintwork..i`ll be loading up some pics of this job later on the workshop pages if you are interested mate
