The Morris Marina: We Should Be Fighting Back - Video Style!

Post by ClaytonSpeed » Wed Sep 12, 2007 3:21 pm

This afternoon I thought I would take a look at youtube and search for Morris Marina. I was quite surprised to see a few good shorts of Marina's, including Marinanut's GT being driven around Mallory Park! Well Done!

There was of course videos from banger meets and that Jeremy Clarkson one we all know about. This got me thinking. Wouldn't it be nice to get a few good shorts of Marina's being driven!! We've got the Rebels hammering up on the IOW downs on there and I've put up the MGB breaking video Jim73 and myself did early this year.

So here is the score. Those of you that have a digicamera and youtube account get out there and start filming some Marina action! If you want you can email them to me or ~Sam~ and we can get them up on youtube for you.

I've got some footage from the teignmouth show me, Furzey, Paul Mondey and Steve Moss did so will get that up when I have a moment.

Lets show people that a Marina is so much more than banger material!

What do you lot think!? Makes a change from static show pics!

Ben

Perhaps let Mr Culcheth show what he can do in a T series Turbo Marina, he always said that all they needed was a little more power... :D

There is a roman road that goes by the name of the A68 just north of Corbridge. It is the type of road that goes completly straight over the top of those types of hills that have quite sharp peaks. I think you could do some awesome Dukes-of-Hazzard stype jumps over them! But it would take some serious balls... I'll get Rachel to do it.
The most fun you can have with a Morris badge on!

The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....

Cool, just found it! Didn't realise I was going that quick into the hairpin, must have been the later run as I didn't fluff the gearchange out of the turn. One of the other guys on retro-Rides was complaining that the car didn't sound that fast but was catching him out every time I ran....I think he has a few pics of it and a short vid somewhere. Roll on next year!

Yeah that was pretty funny. It was a right carry on to get it posted, we ended up getting Becks to copy it onto a CD-R and mailing it to me!

If a link was changed to "ebay linky" then that was probably Sam, because she's sad..
