Hey there my Marina buddies.
My Baby is a photoshop whiz.
She is a photo restoration expert.
Tonight I asked her to explore a few new colour schemes for her favourite Marina.
As it happened - I only had a suitable photo of my Marina, not hers - but she got with the program anyway.
Check these out - be keen to hear your views.
My favourite is the 'red' item.
Cheers, Kilroy

Hope the weather is better in NZ than it is here

Hey - cheers people..!
I'm thinking we are just scratching the surface here...
Obviously I now want to get some side and quarter views and repeat the process.
You will have noticed we had already blacked out the centre part of the grille - it seems to highlight the paint better.
I will now be able to try out some 15" superlites with low profile rubber to see how I feel about them - without the pain of purchase.
My own feeling from here is that the rim v rubber aspect of the 13's is most appropriate - I think that bigger rims and less rubber may be too modern a look to fit the Marina's ageless side view.
Frank - yes, the fleet has never been better thankyou - got the second 2 litre conversion done for 'BBK' - have added it to the garage - its running beautifully, and we have 2 weeks touring holiday coming up in October to really extend it - so its full-on getting sound wired in plus taking care of all the other zillion things...
Am up to the third transmission flush and its still coming out grubby...
Have decided to throw some 21mm torsion bars and 4 leaf springs in as well - having just completed the entire suspension rebuild only a few months ago..!
Hey - here's a question for you all - I notice that the rear end of the torsion bar is a bit of a loose fit into the chassis member - probably contributes to a bit of extra thump and rattle - has anyone come up with some form of flexible packing for this..?
Even a large section o ring might be a good mod methinks.
And finally - has anything transpired about the great screen rubber deal..?? I really have to import about 6 of them quite soon, and it seems that Earlpart are the only crowd who will talk to me...
Thanks again and happy motoring.
Kilroy.

I can't decide either - but seeing such a glossy and uniform look via computer trickery, I know I want to get a high-class coat of paint on the car..!
Don't really want to lose the original colour either - so perhaps a gold or silver base coat might show off the sandglow tone to more advantage..?
Wish I had the skills.
Oh - BTW.
The colours shown above were achieved by applying tints over the top of the sandglow.
Chiz,
Kilroy

Well - having decided that the blacked-out grille centre panel made the paint look better - I have been trying out the same effect in the flesh.
I will refit the Morris badge, but I think I prefer it to the original...
Just my impressions...
