Thanks Paul and Chris
Well the offer was there but i suppose as you fellas say the distance from the venue was a prohibitive factor for those wanting to do both days and perhaps not just the one day using here as a base, and as Paul mentioned the mileage if he was to stop over would add an additional £120-£140 to his weekend bill on fuel alone so really this saving pays for accommodation nearer the venue a result in itself and a lot less traveling in the process.
So here to the next time, and Chris your not only are your observations witty they so very true,a BBC sit-com awaits you,
"In the Club" staring Neil Morrissey as Bob and Collen Nolan as Kathy, they play the Hudson family a bottom rung middle class family in suburban middle Britain and their two children' Annie and Jake, (played by two never see them again child actors when the series finishes) Bob is a underpaid and over worked line manager in the civil service and Kathy runs her own florist shop,Annie is a 15 year old hippy eco-warrior and Jake a 12 year old computer nerd,Bob's best mate is Collin a womanising builder who is always leading Bob astray via the pub the Dog and Partridge run by Les the landlord played by Bernie (my fist screen apererece out side children in need in 20 years) Clifton, who keeps on telling everyone he was in the SAS (on many secret mission behind enemy lines shh shh,but can't talk about it) Margaret his long standing wife is played by Pam (god i'm glad to get a job after Rosemary and Thyme) Ferris.
Bob's great interest in life is his Morris Marina MK1 1300 super de-luxe saloon in Lime Flower, and the car club "The Marina Car Club" (name changed on legal grounds) plots revolve around the pub,Bob's garage where he and Colin disappear for a crafty drink,Kathy's flower shop and Bob' office at the DWP,other series regulars are Earl his Rastafarian boss (played by the bloke who played Winston in Life on Mars) Mr and Mrs Prentice Bob and Kathy's snooty neighbours,Mr Prentice has a Jaguar XK 140 and keeps getting at Bob for not having a "real classic car" and Linda,Kathy's limpet-like mother that demands to go everywhere with them played by Julie Goodyear, much to the mutterings of Bob that go unheard.
Episode I, Don't get ya trunnions in a twist
Bob thinks he has bought a suspension unit of E-bay to put the finishing touches to the car for the clubs national day (this year he is in with a chance of a prize) but by mistake Jake has miss-heard Bob thinking he has said "onion instead of trunnion" and instead has got him a grow your own giant onion set" mayhem ensure when Bob goes to fit the unit and finds out he has a onion for a trunnion and the car show is on Sunday!
