Hi and welcome to Australia when you get here!! As for parts....I suppose it depends on what you are after. Panels are near on imposible to get but Ebay is your friend. I have bought lots of things....mostly from the UK.
The last Marina I ran as an every day car didn't use many parts so it wasn't a problem. I only have a MK2 HL at the moment and it is sitting waiting for me to work on it. Not many of them here. It came from NZ.
There is not that many Marinas in Aus...in running condition. Probably at least as rare as in the UK. I haven't seen one on the road for years!!

i should point out that the aussie marinas are different to the english ones in the driveline and a small difference in the body as well

Re: For all the aussies on here
iirc the earlier Morris badged cars had the Engllsh body shell, but with a Borg Warner axle and OHC engine, and different interior trim. The later Leyland badged cars were a significant makeover. Bigger transmission tunnel, deeper front valance, raised steering rack, and a raft of other changes to allow the 6-cylinder to be fitted.bigcarle wrote:i should point out that the aussie marinas are different to the english ones in the driveline and a small difference in the body as well
I wonder if more have survived in NZ than Oz? Might be more lurking in outback sheds, where the dry conditions would have been easier on the metal?

lowcost bryan i think you will find the australian bodies different even in the earlier morris series as i have seen
on these pages one or two restos and they do not have the plate in the firewall where the aussies put the pole for the 'rotodip' process check out any in NZ and see if there is a difference

Where was the plate? I wouldn't be surprised if there were small differences between the early Aussie and UK cars. Were the shells pressed in the UK or Aussie?
