Anyone knows what this is for?

Post by JubileeNut » Sun May 09, 2010 9:22 am

This was in the boot of my car when I got it and I think it is part of the tool kit but no idea what its for!
Hub cap puller is the only thing I can think of but I have no hub caps to pull on a Jubilee!

Also I have a similar item in black which is like a tiny crow bar with a over 90 deg bend at one end which has a sharp edge and made from thicker gauge material but about the same length as this silver one.

Any ideas?

It looks like a stereo removal key Paul but why you would have one of those in a Marina tool kit I have no idea

It looks like a computer blanking plug thingy, the thing you have to remove at the rear of your pc if you want to add a graphics card for example

Thats what BL supplied to get the hub caps off, got a few around if anyone wants one. If I remember rightly, they were not much use.

Well the 2 ideas you have had are good. As for the computer blanking plate although it does look like one this is a heavier gauge metal and no hole to screw in!
Plus it is a lot wider than a stereo removal key!
So I think it must be a hub cap puller but no good for a Jubilee as the hub cap goes on with the 4 wheel nuts!
Strange thing is the other item I have which is similar probably is also a hub cap puller

Still I have cleaned and painted it and will carry it as I may have other uses for it

These are useless as they damage the wheel finish when you try to remove the hub cap with them.

Yes BL designed them to scratch the paint surface and break through the chrome on the edge of the hub cap.
