Lucas Alternator question

Help wanted please

the Alternator on my Mk3 needs replacing but before I do , is the drivers side
where the alternator is mounted classed as the right or the left cos there is a left and a right mounted type :? and I don't weant to get the wrong one as it were

It's classed as the right mate. Or offside. Mini spares do a lovely 75amp one!!

most ford alternators fit also,
nice wide range of amperages
