2 out of 3 ain't bad

Post by norway_triumph » Fri Aug 06, 2010 8:59 am

no it's not the song by meatloaf
Had 3 cars to the mot station this week (in Norway we only need to show our cars every other year)
These 2 passed (well got a 1 (=rectify) on both cars for rearlights (usual Marinaprob. as they don't get earthed well , so i'll fit a separate earth to them )

but my heinz failed on LH-side brakes too weak :) . Luckily i have new seals for the wheel-cylinders on the shelf (or should i go for replacing the WC ??)

That a nice line up,two very tidy marina's and that 101 victor looks like it's being looked after. If you can get a wheel cylinder cheap enough I would go for that ,then you still have your spare seals on the shelf.

My Marina failed today on the offside rear inner sill (which I expected it too)

Well it is 5 in 4 shows, but I am not counting  :D  8)

I was shocked by the one I won today as there were some real cracking cars there of all makes and ages 1850s to 1980s and fantastic condition.
Nice SD1 Police car which the actual corgi model was based on. Mustages, BMW, Triumph, MG, Ferrari Dino, Ford Cortina MK2 plus Anglia, moggie minors just to name a few.

Well worth going. Bumped in to an Ex-MMOC member who joined when the club started, very nice chap. Also a person came over and said I used to own a Jubilee and seeing mine bought back good memories of his car. Steve Green was there and came and said hi as well.
Had a great time. :D
