Owning a bus was always a joy as long as it doesnt breakdown or get flat tyres or get vandalised or have no where safe to park.As long as the downsides are covered, and they were for the 10 years that I owned an ex-London Transport AEC Swift (now at Cobham bus museum), owning a bus is a challenge that brought out the best in me. When maintenance and local accomodation became an issue I sold up......i still miss my old Swift but sometimes I get to drive a friend´s Routemaster which he uses in conjunction with his catering business.ado28 wrote:The Atlantean will be safe, My share is the lower deck cause my mate cant hold a spanner.
