I removed the bonnet catch, painted it then screwed it back on, by the time I got home, my friend had masked it off. I figured it wouldnt do any harm to stay on. Its not going to be a showstopper, just a low budget "something different"...

That green is more like the UK snap dragon I think. I have seen Itals in this similar colour but citron is more yellow but when seen against a real yellow it looks more green! :o
May Avatar when it shows the TC Jubilee unfolded it is Citron, sampled from a photograph. but then it folds up and goes loads of colours.

yep that is a P76 in super trim, odds on it is a 4.4 litre V8

Cheers, looks really nice, I wish they sold them here.. 4.4 V8 eh.. That isn't the Rover V8 then is it? That was only a 3.5 in those days, was it a BL V8 or from another manufacturer?

They are a modified version of the rover 3.5. Stroked to be a square bore and stroke of 88.9mm. Deck hight increased, manifold and timing chain and water pump different. 192hp 285 lb/ft in a car weighing in at about 1280kgs(2830lbs) :D :D :D

Yes!! It is amazing how much weight you can save if you start with an aluminium v8 and build a car around it.

And yes again, they are a big car. You can open the boot and put a 44 gallon drum, on it's side, into it and close the lid. Not too many cars can hold that much.

the P76 V8 was also used in what I would call a light truck (Leyland) that is up to
8 ton/tonne all up.
very strong engine that makes range rovers go LOTS better :D
