Can't decide.... Sell or Not Sell?!

Post by ClaytonSpeed » Fri Oct 05, 2007 10:55 am

I'm thinking about selling the Ital pickup I have... I did have wonderful plans for it BUT since I want to get my TC looking and driving like the Dogs others I really don't have the time/money to spend on it..

What do I do!!!!!! I know I probs won't get another one in such good condition (ok yes it does have some filler in and a little welding to do) but urgh! !

It is a 1983 Ute with a Marina engine/box in Rattan Beige. If I sell can I get another one day? I would love Pete's one (the one Frank rebuilt) but that ain't going to happen!!! I think it is a question of priorities..

When are you ever really going to want to use a pick up? You said you wanted one for ages and harped on about it and it's just been sat there looking sorry for itself.

We all know you just want to make the TC go faster so sell and use the money to put to that. Also if you did get the pickup on the road you would probably complain that it didnt go fast enough and this whole saga would start again!!

Hmm, handy things pick ups and it would be a shame to sell it. Commercials need more presence on the rally field so I would personally keep it.

This is true.. I think I wanted a pickup so that I could make another Paul Mondey type motor.. And it certainly ain't that! It could be with some hard earned goin into it but when do you stop!?

Why were you going to sell her?? I'm the one that is supposed to "come to my senses" and sell JBL!

Today I found out she won't start if the back window heater is on. Bless.

Point taken although it's not the sort of motor that would be broken up, if anything I could sell it with an MOT and then its useable for someone else to take to a show!

if you really are to sell the pickup, remember is bog standard as it , so another one will always turn up. the tc on the other hand have some of your personal mods.......

i've found that VERY few cars never turn up again - thats just an exceuse you use for NOT selling :)

Ben, I am in a simular position since the wife once a month tells me its the Marina or the mortgage!
I manage both, though the TC will never be sold. I'd rather sell the house mate! The problem with too many cars is where to put them, plus you are only one man, four cars effectivly will recieve 1/4 of your time and money, so three will recieve 1/3 of your time and money.
My plan is to keep the four cars already, the TC needs a full rebuild so that will be done first, then once I've finished that car (ignoring the others...), then move on to the next one, it's the only way mate.

Or, you can win the lottery and keep Frank employed untill 2032! :D

It's not costing having it really.. But I would rather get the TC done this year ready for next years season.. Mainly IOW and having the pickup around does hinder things slightly..

If I had the cash I know Frank would be set for life!!!
