Colour change.

Post by Al Williams » Sun Oct 07, 2007 11:58 pm

I was messing about all weekend with cars.... Changed all the brake pipes on the dragon's dolly. Suprisingly never sheared a bleed nipple! :o

Dropped the axle on the Ascona....

Decided I would have a play with the Marina, and took the front panel off...
Removed the alloy grills (1300 mk1, thanks Sam! lol!) rubbed the stone chips out and repainted in Pageant blue, as I had a can lying around...

Too bright a colour we decided, and we were glad the paint reacted!

Bare metal or isolator coat for the rest of the car now!

Anyway, any suggestions for colour's?

Pics required for colour's please so soph can make her mind up! She is thinking of blue, thus the pageant experiment, but I have a thing for orange as I am not allowed another brown car!!!

I'm going to say Black Tulip.. Because I've only ever seen one van in that colour!

That or Rattan Beige... Hey then you could buy your pope mobile a present in the form of an Ital pickup!! Matching pair!!!!!!! Bargain.

Although Chris, I know where it's stored and where the keys to the lock up are.... for the right price I will steal it for you

Black tulip is a very nice colour, of course Teal Blue is also very nice

I think black tulip is unique because it looks so dark but under a day of summer sunlight it really comes to life.

My dad had a teal blue BGT also, that would be a good choice.

Going through the garage section at the moment showing her pics!

She reminded me of the Austin 1300 GT we had which was Teal blue and caused no end of problems!

Too dark she says....... :)

Sam, the Porsche is the same colour as one of her nail varnishes.

She showed it to me yesterday, but am reluctant to spray metallic...

Although I may have to admit defeat and just go for it, I mean, how badly wrong could it go?!

Is it the Loreal metallic nail polish? I have that colour too it's brilliant
