Hi Jan, are you going to put her back to the original Clipper Blue colour too?

depends...
i like my cars as original as possible - but will need to investigate a bit about the history.. if the car was painted when crayford did the conversion i'm most likely to keep that colour. However with their limited budget i don't really see that they would have painted it. i'm having real good help from the crayford club (barry priestman) on this.
Also to take into consideration is that IF it's going to be a respray in clipper blue i would like to change the front panel to an age- correct one. and if i do that i would like to change the floor to one with the correct pressings and before you know it it would be another 5-10 years resto ahead.........

Yes, good point Jan, the floors are a sod to source, i have a 1961, and a 1960, Mini, which will need floors doing, but the really early pressings are not available, so will have to be the 63` on, type  , still at least with the floors you can get away with a little modernising without losing the overall appeal of the original

Had a bit of a disaster at the weekend chaps....my nextdoor neighbour decided to back into my baby while she was outside the garage, waiting to be put away   , still i got off quite lightly as he was going very slowly at the time, i suppose it has given me the excuse i was looking for to take her off the road for a few months this winter, to sort out the front brakes and update the suspension with some ital front dummy arms, and upright shocks, the damage is only slight and it should knock out easily...lucky i know abloke who can fix it eh!!

Had a quick look at the damage today, and with the bumper off most of the dent has just popped out, so with a little more work, and a careful little blow-in with the paint she will be fine, could have been a lot worse  :)

Thats good news Frank!
If it had bent the bumper it would have been a pain as they are hard to find in great condition!

At least you know someone with all the knowledge to put it right

Just put her away for the winter, although it feels like we never had a summer this year  , jobs for this winter will be a sound system and a rear suspension overhaul, now that the front is all sorted and repaired
Would be nice if Gary could get the blue one done for next year...what do you reckon Gaz?
