There is some further information on Darren's cars on the Rover 800 forum.

That is a very rare GT Marina and there are not many left.
Looks in good condition.
All the cars there look in nice condition and need to find good homes.

They seem to be finding good homes so far. A friend of mine is very well known in Austin Rover circles and is currently informing people he knows about the cars. Hopefully some of the money raised will go to a good cause as well.

At £300 I'm incredibly interested in the LE but as usual insurance will mean I just cannot save it.

Wow, that Marina GT is exactly like the one in the Mk2 brochure; beautiful.

Looking at that last photo on page 3 it looks like there are two LE's or is it the GT under the cover and the light playing tricks or do I need to go back to specsavers again. I'm almost tempted by the Montynogo. Always had a soft spot for them

Hi Gary,
Definitely looks like two LEs to me, look at the chrome strip running along the back window which the GT doesn't have. Maybe his father is keeping the other?

Or my eyes might be playing tricks on me!

Yes of course! Think Matt has got it right. There's no mistaking the colour of that front wing!

I didn't even think about the TC as I knew Brian was going to keep it so I assumed that it would be somewhere different to the rest of the cars. Just goes to show that you should never assume anything
