Rear wheel bearings

Post by ct90dave » Sun May 06, 2012 10:52 pm

I need to replace the rear wheel bearings in my wagon. Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction with regards to the size I need to order. Would rather not have it in bits before I have the parts to fix it. If someone knows what bearing I need to order that would be a huge help.
Thanks Nigel

They're the same as TR7 4 speed ones if that's any help, no idea where you can get 'em out in NZ.

Here's a link to Rimmer Bros where I got mine from:

Kilroy will be along in a while, he'll be able to point you at Marina parts in NZ.

You rang Sir..?

The QH part number for a complete rear wheel bearing kit is QWB133C.
I bought a few some years back - have not tried to source any more yet.
The bearing itself is either SKF 6206, or RHP N9661A - its a pretty common size.
The kit has the bearing, 2 seals, and a gasket. 1 seal fits in the housing behind the bearing and seals on the half shaft, the other fits in a plate outside the bearing and seals on the hub.
Usually you can get away with using them again - but if you get cranky when trying to pull the hub off you can destroy the outer one quite easily...

Cheers
