Hmm, wonder how that would work in a 114GSi cvt auto?

Fairly rare beast down here in NZ, how easy to upgrade the GSi suspension and brakes for the power?

Pretty easy. The main problem with metro suspension is that it's linked front to back. So when u accelerate hard that pushes the back down which in turn pushes all the suspension fluid to the front which pulls the front up. And then as a result u loose traction.

To overcome this u remove the link and individualise the units by using separate valves on each hydrogas unit. Another mod is to cut the rear rods and front trumpets down. Either to lower it or to pump the suspension back up to a higher pressure so it makes it stiffer.

Front brakes you can fit either MPi gti or mgf fronts as they're the same but you'll need different wheels as standards won't clear without spacers.
If a link was changed to "ebay linky" then that was probably Sam, because she's sad..

Love K-series engines, they are a great little unit. Been playing with a 1.4 for my daughters MG ZR using VVC exhaust cams, a lot of head work and 1.6 liners and pistons. ;)
Got a big throttle body etc off an old 214sli so should go well. 8-) I used a 414sli as an airport car for 3 years and it was a great little unit to drive behind. Not as musical as the alfa 16v's but gutsy and strong.
