Love the two old Press pics Rob! Your old coupe was really nice, the last time I saw it was early this year being cleaned up for sale.. =( Sure hope it has gone to a good home.

Ya know...

When I sold it to Ken I asked for first refusal if he ever sold.
I stuck by that and anyone who wanted to listen heard me say that I would buy it back in a second.

Ken called me when he was selling it and I had to turn him down as £1500 was just too much at the time... he caught me at a time when my little girl was just heading to nursery (at £120 a week :o) - I had to turn him down and he seemed really miffed that I couldn't buy at that time. :s

I hear he was having to sell due to family reasons and that made me feel worse.

He then sold it on ebay for less than he paid me for it... I would have bid but fear he would have lynched me.

I'll say it again... if that car shows up again - I'M CHUFFING HAVING IT !! (probably)

bugger.

What a shame Rob, you really missed out there, Ken spent a fortune on that car in the short time that he had it, i completely refurbished the rear end, fitted a new sill on the drivers side, fitted a new bootlid and nearside door took all the glass out and repainted the back half and roof in ICI 2K paint, not to mention all the other bits he did too, still you never know it might pop up again in time

I know Frank... Ken told me all about it... it was just really bad timing.

When I spoke to Ken I could tell it was a very reluctant sale.
Fingers crossed for a future meet up ;)

Rob

PS: pass my regards to Ken if you see him :)
