Beat me to it I was just about to sat that as well ;)

Thought i'd get underseal on back end, before re-fitting axel & springs.
Wheel-arches checked over when "Epic spring hanger welderthon" done last november.
Bought un/seal,etch primer seamsealer & paint Thursday.

Friday Started to remove loose underseal, found hole rear [wheelarch to boot footwells both sides, only small but?
Oh well, need fuel tank bkt [to floor] sorting too [bolt sheared in captive nut. Sod bugger it.....
Shut garage door.

Saturday got Earnie mobile welder round again, ground it out, holes bigger than i thought [ what a suprise]
4 hours, 2 patches each side + 1 new pet/ tank bkt [new captive nut] later & pocket £100 lighter...
Shut garage door again.

Sunday soft-pad cleaned, etch- primed,seam-sealed, cleaned & etch primed servo while waiting for paint's to dry.
Closed garage door.

Monday try to get gloss on over etch-primer & maybe some un/seal.

So much for getting the frigging axel in.

OK Gil so what's the next job? Putting the axle in, so then it's a rolling chassis again. Focus on the next job not the last.

OK Chris, not a serious gripe, just that time runs away with you, even on simple jobs.

Yes axel to go in, had 3 leaf springs made, so new "u" bolts might not fit, got coilover shockers that were on before
as well so might sit too high.
So could be looking at lowering blocks like you're doing, but have to see how its sitting when its done.
I'm watching yours with intrest.
Gil.

Nice one Sean. Its a nice feeling once you've got a stainless system fitted - one thing less to worry about rusting!

Be interested to see how it fits. Mine was too long and had to be cut and modified slightly to fit. Otherwise ok. :)

Indeed Tony! I would have had it fitted already but I bought my wife a mini cooper (Rover Spi version) and I've been working on that all week to make it safe. It was bought with a years MOT and the inner sills are rotten so I won't allow it out on the road until I've repaired it and deemed it road worthy! I should get Reynards stainless system fitted at the weekend :) Are you going to Peterborough this year?
