Started stripping Ronnie's front brakes and suspension ready for new parts. I'm going to fit the V8's brake setup (audi discs and sd1 4 pot callipers) to see how it copes with a b series. I will then rebuild its standard brakes for use at a later date.

Must admit I thought driving from the IoW to Leamington, down to Devon on the Friday and then all the way back to Leamington to drop the car off before heading back to the Island on the Sunday night was pretty dedicated, regardless of who owns the car and who is merely looking after it ;)

I haven't done anything with the Marina except rescue a set of screwdrivers from under the back seat. I have however bought a shed- this means I can relocate some of the junk in the garage (e.g. the pushbikes!) & get the car in there 8-) Bit more secure & means I can start stripping her over winter.

It's still in flat pack form in the back of the Volvo (it's a useful machine is that, can't be many cars you can get a 6x4 shed in) but it's only B&Q's cheapest- the house is rented anyway and there's only so much garden Laura will let me get away with liberating- I have already taken over both spare bedrooms :shifty: . The garage is a typical modern house integral one that's not actually big enough to get a modern car in so external tat storage is essential though!
