Is there a rear support for the radio

Re: Radio
Not on MK1 as far as I know. It only uses the front knob holes (Sorry about those words!) to hold it in.
Older stereos were not so large or heavy until they started putting tape decks in.
I am sure you could put a strap in to locate on a rear bolt position and take it up to the metal on the dash?
I had to do similar to mine in the glove box as they were never designed to take heavy items

Re: Radio
No support on mk2/3 or Itals either. However make sure the radio you put in doesnt have to big a body at the rear. On the mk3s and itals if the radios body is too long inside the dash if you follow it hits the heater box and wont fit! I was that solider. Nice period push button fm//am radio would not fit no matter what i did! Vey annoyoing. Hence i now look and check to see how long radio bodys are before i purchase at Autojumbles!
