Yup, exactly what's happened to the ones I have  Probably done before the internet came along when bits like clips were hard to find. I may have a way of repairing them though ;)

I still have a few second hand trims I need to move on to someone. They are not perfect but better than not having one. I can bring them to the national. Won't pot as they will only get bent.

I've got quite a few second hand ones in various states, I've brought them to P.bro a few times when I've done autojumbles but never had any interest. I can bring them again this year to the club stand if anyone wants a look at them then I probably will scrap them if no takers.

You can hammer them back into shape and then wet and dry smooth and polish to make near perfect if need be ( so I've been told by a very patient source )

You can do that  But for some reason no one wants second hand trims as I have bought them along and no one wants them.
I have a spare set of new ones in the loft but they are in case I to something daft to mine :o
