Clutch pipe dripping is not good. If it is it needs replacing.
Have you tried starting up in gear with wheels off the ground and the dropping the jack and now you got good brakes applying them after it hits the floor? Need to make sure your clutch hydraulics are working though!

I'd solved the clutch pipe dripping. But I've ordered a new pipe non the less.
I've not tried dropping rear yet but like you say now I have brakes it's worth a shot
I'll wait for pipe to arrive and re bleed clutch, and see how it goes. Thanks.

Be more violent with it! On axle stand ( one wheel up ) get it spinning and with clutch in stamp on the brakes.
Just make sure the car is secure.........
Never failed me yet.

Agree, with a stuck clutch, violence is often the best answer.
Not a Marina owner, built in 1985 from a 1974 1.8TC MOT failure.

Back end in the air, get it up to temperature, get it up to a speed of about 50-60mph, slam the brakes on, dip the clutch, and press the throttle at the same time whilst pulling the handbrake. Usually sorts it....

If you have good brakes, just take it for a drive and match the revs whilst clutching as normal. Always works for me.

I'd be more worried if there wasn't slight play
