New Zealand Motor Corporation Model Identification Manual

New Zealand Motor Corporation were the New Zealand agents for BL cars in the 1970s, formed from the merger of the BMC and Leyland agents in 1970. In 1972 the provided this 110 page identification guide for their dealers and service agents, showing the various BMC and BL models that had been imported or assembled from 1960. Interestingly, the full UK range was imported in 1971, before switching to the Australian range in 1972. The book doesn't mention local assembly of the Marina, but as the book is undated, this may have started later in 1972.

Ozzy was first registered in November 1972, but doesn't have the chassis number as described in the book, just a body number (M2 24TC) stamped on the battery tray and a chassis number tag rivetted on the bonnet slam panel, so I suspect it was locally assembled.
