Bet this is an unexpected update for you all

.
With the heavy rain over the last couple of days, I decided to uncover this one to let it dry out. I'm surprised to say it's no where near as bad as I remember (must be like whiskey, gets better with age

). I then wanted to get the rust off the stainless trims on the doors from when we did grinding work a couple of years ago where sparks occasionally got under the covers and that came off fine with some metal polish and is as good as new

.
I then wanted to look at the passenger door lock as it doesn't want to lock/unlock from the outside. Again, I'm not really getting my priorities right am I?

After a soak in WD40 didn't do much apart from help the door open easier instead of hanging on it, I managed to get the handle off (something I couldn't do two years ago as the nut kept spinning on the thread but a gentle pressure meant it came undone)

. I then stripped the lock and the barrel needed some persuasion to come out. I'm not sure if I caused the damage (think I might have done) but you can see the pins are now all bent over but the handle is fine, could have furred up with rust maybe? Anyhow, I'll fit a new barrel I got from Gareth at the nationals tomorrow

.
