Can anybody tell me more about this award? Nobody seems to know who Patrick Cooke is/was!
Can't quite read the inscription - what is the club name and year?

What did I do?
Got the Mighty Marina stuck in a wet mudy paddock.
Had to get towed out by an old guy with a Honda farm quad, oh the shame!
Maybe if I hadn't been towing a trailer through said paddock things might have been different.

From the plaque:
"The Patrick Cooke Memorial Trophy
Presented by the Morris Marina Owners Club
(Norfolk Branch) 1996"

Your guess is as good as mine, but congratulations all the same
Ventured to Cheltenham yesterday to try and persuade Mud into life- I've managed to sort some storage in the barn over the way where my boss keeps some of his misc. tat (several lorries, a couple of stationary steam engines, a Land Rover + bits and a Clan Crusader!) so I can bring her home from exile.
Fairly sucessful day- bearing in mind that (from the tax disc) she's be standing since September, and in that time the battery has never been off the car or been charged and she's only been started the once back in Februrary, she fired up without too much grief and ran as well as ever. Even better, despite being left with the handbrake on the brakes were free, as was the clutch.
A few electrical gremlins, mostly sorted but the brake light switch wasn't and it exploded trying to get it out- back tomorrow to try and fit a new one, the MOT's booked for Friday... Other prep has consisted of washing the worst of the moss off and dislodging the less persistent spiders. The poor old bus is well overdue for some proper TLC!
As for the saloon, engine bay is mostly back together, interior is dryish but still a bit more to do, going to be cutting it a little fine for the Nats but we'll give it a go.

Well done Matt. Leave the spiders, they might like Lancashire.

Like the 'plates Glen, are they Tippers? They make a nice pair, certainly a bit different to a limo- suprised you've not been asked to do a wedding yet!
Good luck with the Mk3 Si, doesn't look too bad at all in that photo!

It wasn't Tippers, is was this crowd. They had a stand at the Bromley Pageant of Motoring the other day.

Anyway, what did I do to my Marina today- bought home an old friend from temporary exile.
Mud has scraped through another MOT and is back upsetting my neighbours
Funny how wheels and ride height affect a car's appearance so- although the difference is rather masked by the shadows in the photos.
