Were those door mirrors factory fitted? I've only ever seen mirrors bolted to the door skin (like the neighbouring Mumford) - these look like they're attached to the quarterlight window?

Standard MK3 door mirrors. MK3s had no quarterlight window.

Ah, something that is different on NZ Mk3s. All
Kilroy's have fixed quarterlights and bolt-on mirrors.

Never noticed that before! Guess they had a stock of parts they wanted to use up!

Thats a negative.
They all have opening quarterlights.
The mirrors bolt to the top of the door - as opposed to the late 575 I have where the mirrors bolt to the fillet in the front of the window opening - and which has no quarterlights at all.

Jeez, I'd never make a policeman, hadn't noticed that.
Hopefully the opening quarterlights are the same as the Mk1 - would you happen to have any good rubbers for the passengers side quarterlight? (if I can't find one in Ben's stash when I meet him at his lockup in a few weeks)
Can anyone tell me if the rear armrests are the same on a coupe as a saloon? Or the fronts, for that matter?

Bryan in the UK the Mk1 quarterlights had a flat profile on the bottom edge, as you can see in Kilroy's picture the later cars quarterlight glass has a different profile, with a slight lift at the front. The rubbers are different, but I guess might be modifiable with a bit of effort.

Did the UK have any models with opening quarterlights, or were these only an "export" option?

UK Mk1 TCs, and then MK2 GT/HLS and Specials, LEs etc. There were also pop open rear passenger windows on the Coupes.

That's a negative good buddy. UK MK1's don't have front or rear opening quarters. They were an export option.
