Now you are just showing off...

I've got one and a half sets of Mk2 ones here, the half belonging to a set of HL doors that I bought with only one in! Mud will be getting a set 'cos why not (but Mk2 ones, to annoy the rivet counters even more- unless I happen to find a mint Mk1 set at a sensible price anyway). The Mk2, being a mere SDL, doesn't have them, and won't be getting them either.

Temperature was getting a little hot on way home, so pulled into service station to have a look, turned out that the top hose clip was very loose and had given up.. A quick jet wash later and a new hose clip, the car was cooled down and all was well.

Good early catch Ben, left much longer you would be in a sea of pain with a blown head gasket.

Changed radiator and fitted electric fan with thermo switch, then removed pulley fan.

Next job is to change the clutch pipe.

Not much to report. Been quite ill recently but on't mend. I have most of the parts to make a start on the HL. So update soon, in other news I've sent my application for membership so looking forward to receiving some info.

I'm wrecking it..! :(

Beautiful driving car with only 98,000Kms from new - 2 litre auto.
It has so many different areas of rust that I cannot hope to fix it.

Auto will go into my red estate.
Engine will go into the white saloon over by the fence.

Body will probably go to Japan...

Since it's a beautiful driving car, will you be able to save the suspenders for another that doesn't drive so well?

Sad to see her go :( , but good to see her demise will save two others  (if not more  ).

Oh yes - every single part that is not body will be removed.
I have a taker for the front and rear swaybars already.

Most bits will be swapped into other cars as these are lower mileage.

Horrified at how fast the bodywork has gone though. Damn salt air...

Changed rear dampers on the MK3 for a new pair of Spax (non adjustable) and then noticed that the exhaust system is shot. Ho hum!
