Saloon and coupe tanks are the same, early tanks (up to about mid 72) have a different breather system. Van, pickup and estate tanks have different filler necks to the saloon/coupe tank. I believe the neck on van, estate and pickup tanks is basically the same.

Do you want to film yourself driving, film others driving, film the road as you drive, or film from the drivers eye view?

Once you can answer that question the mounting point will become obvious.

Went along to the monthly Old School gathering, for the first time. Introduced myself to some of the guys I'd "talked" to on their forum, and got really positive feedback about the Marina. "Flash" Gordon declared the Marina Coupe is "cool"  , and is keen to see it in the flesh. Better pull finger...

No Marinas this time, but lots of cool old school motors. Some pics here.

Picked the kids up from school today and the road outside has these vicious speed bumps and no matter how slow you take them they give the cars a real ''thump'' Today they were too much for REP and heard this enormous BANG!! I felt the shock through the car. I got out to look thinking a trunnion had given up or spring hanger had split. Nothing, I couldn't find a thing wrong :-? Driving with caution home she drove fine. Has this happened to anyone here before then had a nasty surprise down the road?! REP isn't going anywhere until I find what it was. Scary stuff!

Rear spring snapped? Happened to me. Massive bang and only found it sometime later as it snapped under the axle clamp.

Could have been but it felt and sounded more solid like something part of the car it self.. if that makes sense :-?
No rush for the ashtray, my kids can't raid my ''going over a penny at the pumps change'' now

I had a better look under the car today to find out what that bang was.
Turns out it was the leaf spring after all
Oh well, my run of good luck with PTH had to be counter balanced somewhere  :rolls:

With help from the forum  Thanks everyone  It would have taken me a while to find it on my own. I kept thinking a trunnion had stripped a thread or two.
