I had a guy email me tonight says his auntie has died and left him a 1977 coupe with only 8000 miles on it and in mint condition and it's only a few miles away. he'd seen the ecosse website and emailed me from there wants me to take a look with him as he is thinking of selling it on, that would be nice to get hold of. he's clearing her garage in a couple of weeks apparently it's not seen daylight for 20 years let's hope it's not like the mk3 that's just sold on the bay

As you can see from my post, I've been getting busy with VBX, I've changed my very gubbed Tie Rod bushes for polyurethane ones, I will be changing all my bushes for these as and when, I've got a pair of PU bushes for my steering rack which, if I can find them, I hope to fit before I put her back on the road, I've sorted the wheel bearings, and I've a few other small bits and pieces to do as well, I've changed my leaking and very knackered (as I discovered when I removed it) master cylinder as well, when I removed the old one, the push rod just fell out, which it shouldn't do! I managed to get a NOS genuine Girling one, looks great, and once I clean up the mess the leaking brake fluid has made, it should look fantastic. I had intended to respray the car completely over the winter, but it just didn't happen, but I may still do it this year, so I may turn up at a show with it done! All I did get done was the drivers side which from a distance looks awesome, but as soon as you get close you see it, crazing, breaking out all over, I think it's a reaction to me using 1K over the original TPA factory paint, I'm going to get a 5L tin of 2K made up during the summer at some point though, it's just getting time to do it. You'll all be able to see all this at EK in a couple of weeks!
