Stu, the cylinders are the same body’s but the bore size is different. For your car you need a 15.90mm cylinder, QH part number: BWC3276 or Girling: GWC1202.
If you have brought the Ital 1.3 cylinders, QH part: BWC3263 or GWC1110 then they are a 17.50mm bore and are for the duel circuit brakes. You will probably find a sharper system but beware you could lock the backs before the fronts in an emergency!

That's ok Stu,
I'm not too sure of the fittings I thought they were 3/8th UNF but please don't quote me on that! I got all my fixings from a company called Steveson Motors. They are very resonable on price and qulity!

got the new cylinders in the post this morning and checked the bore sizes and they are both the same both about 16mm so looks like they could be right after all they were advertised as for ital 1700 and 2 litre don't know if that makes any difference

If they are 15.90mm then yes they are right for your car. The Ital 1700 saloon's are the same but the estates should be 17.50mm. They kept changing the 1.3 cylinders over the years, I don't know why! What you will find is that at MOT the tester may have to look up the right weight of the car to make sure it is in the legal band. It is all rather odd.. The 15.90 cylinders are just in and the 17.50's much sharper so clear fine.
Geek hat off!

The emissions should be a visual test on that year of car I would have thought Stu. Weakening the fuel mix might help it and kick the arse out of it for a while on a hard run.
