Wow what a find Ray!

I can honestly say that i have never seen a complete boot lid and spoiler unit ever before, the item i went to look at last week was a far more simple affair a molded fiberglass "flip-up" unit that fitted by four bolts that were drilled through the boot lid and then simply tightened to secure. The boot lid/spoiler combination works really well (i could be tempted to even leave it black and not paint it to match "The General",how long before a black bonnet then?)

I know the badging says S.T (and a MK1 dash logo has been added) but i would hazard a guess that it is a specialist aftermarket panel made by a professional manufacture or even the legendary S.P (Special Products) the prototype/works one off items/or the working design that the more standard S.T parts were made from. The origins of the S.P part of British Leyland are surrounded in the deepest of mystery,in my collection i do have one S.P items one below is a straight cut gear box (supposedly of a competition 1300 Marina picture below) the plate on it says British Leyland S.P div, even though i think MG Midget Or Triumph Spitfire.

Image An S.P gearbox?

But whatever the source a great find,i wonder what else you contact has in stock?

 Very nice Raymondo!, that really suits the General....not sure if i would leave it black though , i reckon it would look good orange with the louvres left in black, the ST sticker is a nice touch too  , very smart mate 8)

That's what i was thinking frank, leave the louvres black and paint the rest. Will do that when it gets redone next year i think.
