Those wheels look like Montego steel wheels to me.....I used to run them before switching to the MG Maestro alloys I now run as the steel wheels wouldn't clear the bigger brakes.
I think we should meet up somewhere where we can properly test the cars in safety, a track day on a airfield or similar.

My Morris is road rally spec, not enduro spec, it's got a fuel injected 2 litre Pinto so is only ok for night rallies.
I should be entering the Mercian rally down your way later in the year.

Those rear wheels look like GT6 steels to me, Monty steels have slots or plain holes.....

will there must be a night rally on around mid way for all of us or even a 12 car but will have to be worth the trip
still think do it at the nat and we run a auto test its not hard to set up the paper work if its closed to club or evan a scater on the night before

The Morris Marina Owners Club is affiliated to the MSA, I am the registered Competitions Secretary. I'd be interested in working with some people to set something up?

if you run it as a gymkaner i think you get round the whole thing with the MSA running one is stratforward just need the ok from the venue and we are away
but if you are running a scater we will nead a permit and insrance but the MSA will help you with the forms plus the local RLO will help and keep you away from car black spots or if we hook up with a car club we maybe get some help from them

Sounds good, I have done a few Scatters with Beverley Motor Club a few years ago in my Manta, great fun! I would love to come and join in if its close enough and have a Laugh. Just noticed the wipers on the Orange Coupe go the 'right way' not like all the others I have seen.....

Ian Harrop has emailed me his newsletter for the latest outing of AOX at MIRA.

It seems along the way they lost a wheel (halfshaft) but fitted a spare axle and carried on on day 2 and won!

Forum members here have offered spare halfshafts and I think Ian and Trevor have taken them up on at least one of the offers. They are looking for some 10cwt torsion bars as the car is way too soft, can anyone help?

They are also looking to have either made up or adapted a Quick Rack for the Marina, I don't know what they might cost but at least £200 at a guess. I said that I would circulate it here, to see if anyone here would be interested, as it wil help them if they can order a small batch.

AOX Newsletter

By the way if anyone wants to know what wheels they are running, they are my old 13x6 Performance SuperLites.

yes a beter rack please :D
the standard one is well slow its some time very hard to catch overstear you end up trying to antisipate the back end which make you slow down with lack of confidence
