Would be good to see it!

I am told the car was in the Bristol area at one point.

The car was spotted outside Retro Engineering, a company who rebuild Rolls Royce aero engines and may or may not have belonged to an employee.

This info was about 2years ago though.

Can't think how you could destroy an axle! Did you fill it with sawdust!

Sorry my silly sense of humour! :)

When I was on BBMF we used to have the RR Merlins rebuilt at Retro Track and Air.

And one of the guy's saw it.....

Wasn't there when I went down to drop an engine off and not being into Marina's at that time, never thought to ask I'm afraid.....

But when I got the Sun Tor, it sprang back into my memory and thus some of the posts on this forum. :D

Hi Al, just had another look to see how it was going...what a pillock that JT is!! he really could get on your wick :!: , i have a few more stats` for you if you feel like clobbering him some more  , he is wrong for a start when he says that the Marina did not sell a Million, as i have a copy of Austin Morris Express in front of me from Nov 6`th 1978, in which it clearly states that "Marina hits a Million"...she`s the golden girl of Austin Morris- that`s the Marina!, the million mark was passed just before the motor show of that year, also as a footnote they state that the Morris Minor was the first car to achieve a million. It took 23 years between 1948 and 1961 ...however the Marina did it in just seven and a half years!!, like you i actually like the Dolly as a car....it`s just some of the owners they attract that puts me off

Ken,

Please don't be put off by JT, whilst he is a ***********!
And not even a paid up member......

The rest of the club are not, as Ben will testify when he went to the TDC annual event.

I have taken the unusual step of loosing my rag with him. See the link below.

So the TDC club's loss is your misfortune, eherm gain!!!

He certainly likes to have the last word  , ...which wouldn`t be so bad if he wasn`t talking out of his a*se!!, i would get on there myself and have a go but i think it would start WWIII ! Between Marinas and Dollys`, i think Al knows how to deal with him and get a few of the others on side with him, your`e doing a good job there Al  :)

 Blimey Al that should fire them up!!, i notice JT seems to be keeping a low profile on that one  , so far it looks like you are getting a fair bit of support..and quite rightly too in my opinion, you seem like a decent chap to me, and you work on my other favourite things....Classic Aircraft... i travel up to Duxford every year to see the Flying legends Airshow..Fantastic stuff...i have even sprayed a WW2 biplane for a customer as a one-off, never again!!!
Frank.

Certainly a shame mate. We should all live in peace and some what... After all we are all fighting to keep old BL motors on the road. A History that should not be forgotten.

What really boils my urine about the whole nasty episode is, and I have stated it quite clearly, I love all BL products.

I enjoy them for all their merits, or disadvantages!

Was I being argumentative?

Don't know..... But I can't tolerate folk who bottom burp from the mouth.

If I'm wrong I admit it, and I expect the same from others.

Sorry, still pretty angry!

Tell ya what mate, take any one of your cars out for a spin. You will feel loads better after a good cruise! Put the smile back on your face!

Or pop the top on the sun-tor and wave at passers by in a pope like manner..! Very amusing!!!
