I am with Lancaster but it is a little more but I have 10,000miles and agreed valuation. (I got the valuation put up this year  :D as I think I may have under valued it.) Costs £123 which I thought was OK.

SNAP

I just bought my new years insurance through Adrian Flux, the renewal was with Footman James at £183 for unlimited mileage and agreed vauation with all my modifications. Adrian Flux was £140 for agreed valuation etc. etc.

Note for everyone, the guy at Adrian Flux agreed to give Morris Marina Ownes Club members a 10% discount and I am talking to their commercial manager, next week to see what else they can do for us.

That's good news as Adrian Flux were the only specialist who would quote me.

I nearly took out the policy with them, but for some reason their computer had my car listed as a 1.3, so when I corrected the mistake the quote went up by £500

When i first insured my Pickups I went with AF, didn't find them very cheap or very helpful, and after posting for advice on here changed to FJ's, but by this time my pickups had aged into the 25 year + age group and that made a big difference to the premium. Not quite sure without looking but my premium is about £110ish with all the bells and whistles that expensive policies normally come with, but when renewal comes around I will definately be shopping around and declaring any and all mods made.
Cheers

After the experience that my daughter has just had with Adrian Flux I'm afraid that I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. She had her modified Peugeot insured with them for an agreed valuation of £4,500. Some idiot ran into the back of her and they have written the car off. Fair enough although the damage wasn't that bad. They offered her £1,900 for the car. As she didn't want the car to go to an auction and have someone else repair it and drive round in her pride and joy she asked if she could buy it back from them. They agreed to this which cost her £197.30 scrap value. A week or so later they sent her a cheque for £800. When she queried this they said she didn't get the agreed value because of depreciation and they didn't pay her the £1700 that she should have got because they had taken into account all the mods and as they didn't have the car they hadn't got the mods and therefore would not pay out on them. This should have been explained at the time but they "conveniently overlooked" it.

Gary.

As Vermillion says, I wouldn't insure with AF if they paid me for the priviledge. Thoroughly unpleasant experience.
