Hi Barry, sad to hear about your at car but glad you walked away. As others have said, a car can be replaced, people can't. Get yourself checked out and rest up. You will ache a lot in the morning.

I guess you will be needing your dads ital now to use?

Ben

Thanks guys for your kind comments
my neck feeling a bit stiff this morning but the rest of me fine, not even any pain were the seatbelt was.
The car will be a write off had a look yesterday when getting my stuff out including £220 roads fund licence, the rear doors dont shut properly as the whole of the rear end has moved, the boot floor had pulled away off the crossmembers and as this car had a towbar that was bolted to the boot floor and rear valance,so i think this pulled the boot floor apart, hence why the tank detached itself from the floor.i was suprised the rear window didnt smash but you could see it had moved on the body, you could see the rubber seal marks were it used to sit.
Hi ben spoke to my dad about his ital he has for sale for a daily drive so hopefully will be using that soon with a bit of TLC on it. ;)
Best regards
Barry

Been on the phone to insurance broker and then insurance company all morning .
due to the car insured third party fire and theft and insured at a low amount they wont be interested in looking at the car for repair and said i could do what i want with the car now.
waiting to hear from the recovery company now to check i can collect it.
the recovery company it went to is next door to rimmer bros and the boss(graham rimmer)kindly said i could leave it/store it at his place to save me any more storage charges and leave it in our bottom car park.
hopefully monday i'll be able to move her to rimmers and then i can salvage the parts from her(good engine/box/back axle and running gear)at a latter date.
many thanks
barry
p.s feeling better knowing i keep her for the spares

Hi Baz,
I could post them off to you but I will need to find a good tube to post them in.
They came off OK with a good amount of giggling with stainless welding wire used as a cheese cutter
They look all OK but need a clean and new sticky.

At least they don't take up room so I can hang on to them, but if you would like them sooner no problems.

When I find a tube I will weight the parcel and let you know the cost
Regards,
Paul.

Judt seen your post Barry. Glad you ok. Every one you walk away from is a winner. Good old bl tin took the brunt of the shunt. Well seeing the Marina shell was and is very stiff and up to taking a good whack while protecting its occupants.Allegoros shells are not nearly so sturdy.
