What's the latest on the Ital Gil, last time we spoke, I think that you'd had the doors done?

Hi Chris,
yes got the doors re-hung & was struggling with fitting the glass runner in the rear
doors. One had got damaged at the bead blasters.
Thats where i was at in nov at the NEC.
Whilst there, Frank said he could find me a good second hand pair, which he sent me
[cheers Frank] & the powder coat/bead blasters agreed to do them FOC.
Got them back now & thats as far as ive got... Need to get started again when this weather lets up a bit...
Gil. :frown:

Relative newcomer, I've had Mud nearly 4 years now, but did sell her for about 6 months, after about 6 months. I fully intend to keep her as long as Brian has kept his though!

The other two have arrived in the last 6 months, and one isn't staying very long. The saloon will definitely stick around for a few years though!

Got my 1st Marina in 1987, a Mk2 1.3 Deluxe in Tahiti blue.
I've had a total of 15 different models over the years.
Had my HL the longest, 8 years in October

I bought my first Marina, a Super Coupe (an Aussie single carb 1750 OHC), in the early '80s, and had it for two or three years. At the time I was inspired by the CCC magazine rally car build, but other projects go in the way, and I sold it a few years later. If I can find a photo that shows the rego number, I'd love to find out what became of it.

A couple of decades later I hit my "mid life crisis" , and began to hanker after another one. Finally acquired an Aussie TC Coupe off Ben (Charley Safari) last year. Time to pull finger and get it back on the road... :eh:
