Preparing a Marina for Trials

Post by TrialsMarina » Wed Jan 09, 2008 10:12 pm

Well, all we have done is to screw up the Torsion bars on the 2 bolts at the back of them and bolt a road sign under the sump for a guard.

The cars have to be taxed and mot'd plus you need to carry a foam fire extinguisher. You are only allowed standard tyres and no limited slip diff.

Regs are out now for the Lands End Trial which is Easter weekend if anyone fancies a go, perhaps we could get a marina team entry..

We failed two sections on the Exeter Trial one through driver error and one that nobody got up apart from dedicated trials cars.So instead of getting a medal we just were presented with a finishers certificate

As soon as i get a hour to spare I will write a full report on the event.

Regards

Martin

exeter trial on tv

Post by TrialsMarina » Tue Jan 15, 2008 4:21 pm

MCC on the TV!
As some of you will know, Jonny Smith and Tom Ford from Channel 5's Fifth Gear entered a Class 6 VW Beetle in this years Exeter and finished, claiming a Bronze Medal in a car that they hadn't seen before the start of the trial.

The programme, featuring their exploits, is due to be broadcast at
8.00pm on Monday 4th February.
Don't miss it!
