Seem to remember the front and rear valances were damaged too (rusted and/ or bent) and the bootlid had a dent in but probably repairable. Interior was absolutely filthy (and damp) too when I saw it.

That would have made it a fairly extensive restoration project but it did run very sweetly. I'd have been inclined to have used the running gear is a better shell, probably one that had been used as a minor donor.

The boot lid was okay, just one dent that needed filling in but it was pretty small. The rear valence was fine, but the front one was slowly rotting from the valence/wing seams at the bottom. I offered the bloke £450 for it which it what I paid for it running but he wasn't interested. He's even said nobody is interested in parts so I can't see why he don't take his losses on the chin and get it gone or at least ebay it again to give it a last ditch chance.

It really is a shame, I wish I'd have never sold it now!
