That would be a good idea depending on how stiff the bushes are but could put to much up and down strain on the bracket/ arm for the vertical movement in the suspension where thee originals were designed to flex

Fitted new urethane bushes to my brake-reaction rods ( or whatever those rods that go forwards from the suspension arm is called).
An easy job and made for a less rattly suspension.
If you have a lot of rattles, it's the tie rod/reaction bar moving against the chassis member.
I have seen some were the rods were badly waisted, and some very oval holes in the chassis.
New poly bushes do not make up for either problem, though they do conceal it from view.
I wondered why the poly bushes were not made with a small shoulder on them to centralise them in the chassis.
It already had urethane bushes, only the rear bushes were shagged (NZ for split, torn and wasted! :-D ), the front ones were still good and had a shoulder on them so I reused them.

The new ones I got via Aussie were blue-purple and did not have a shoulder, I used them to replace the shagged bushes.

All the holes involved with regard to the chassis and suspension mounting points were sound with no sign of being oval, likewise the rod ends were sound and unworn.

As it was there wasn't an enomous difference in the amount of rattles but there was a definite difference.

First time out today since the NEC. Did a 10 mile drive to keep things loose.
Started well and didn't miss a beat considering it was just left alone since then. I also put some fresh triangular radio knobs on the converted radio!

Have they held up ok since I sent them Josh?
Does anyone know the exact colour of the later fascias? On the early ones I use an aluminum colour and is spot on but the later ones are like a metallic grayish blue. Not sure what the exact colour is, also with some of the ones fitted to cars with brown dashboards they look gold with a light brown surround.

Just finished painting some up and yes, it's the wrong colour but should give you an idea of how the finished parts look.
Hope you like them:)

It's a fast cast resin called SG2000.

Here's some pics of it with the silver trim. It's an imitation silver leaf. It's a new method I'm trying just to see how good it is... I have no idea yet as to how well it will hold up when in a car in daily use! It'll need a coat of lacquer so it don't rub off but I haven't done that yet. I was using silver foil tape which so far has been the easiest to work with but it wrinkles if the fascia is flexed too much. The silver leaf is a hell of a lot harder and time consuming to apply but gives a really good result
