Ya! Link here. You can wire up the dipped beam in to your side lights on the Valance. I will be doing just that tonight if the workshops at work are not rammed with dead buses as I need to replace my bowls and reset the beam pattern

Same wattage bulbs as the old sealed beams? I melted the headlight switch on a Chevette by fitting higher wattage halogen bulbs - bit scary when the lights went out over a bump on a main highway in the middle of nowhere, and then most of the switch fell out of the dash. Luckily had some electircal tape in the tool kit... :shh:

The lady across the road appeared at the garage door and asked if I could start her car, a 6 year old Suzuki something, as she had left the hatch open all night and now it wouldn't start.

Battery as flat as a fart, so with the Porsche gone I could now get the Marina out and jump start hers.

A nice touch with a 40 year old Marina starting a japans ultra reliable car!!!! particularly as the Marina has been out of use for a fortnight or so.

Amazing, you lock your heaps away in a nice dry garage and my lovely low mileage rare DL has to sit outside in all weathers :rolls:

Not done anything to mine for a long while, not even driven it for about 3 weeks now, everytime I come home it's pouring with rain :(

My Coupe sadly has to live outside. Again, allways raining when i come home. I get a lift to
work most days, so she's at home..but use it in the evenings and at weekends. Need to find
a garage really. :(

I'm on the council waiting list but I can only get a garage in my village rather than elsewhere as I have no other car, so it needs to be within walking distance :(

At the moment mine is under cover but I find covers a pain in the backside having to put them on and take them off again and clean the car before covering it.

I love my heaps hence they get nice dry garages for the winter...

If you wanna sell it.... i promise it'll be in a Garage soon ;)

i'm on a couple of more waiting lists for garages, so if i get another and you fancy leaving it in Norwich !! Job will be a Good un..

still having probs finding a unit that allows car storage, the minute i say car storage they say its Motor trade and decline, I dont get it, a few classic cars parked for most of the week (CCTV and Alarmed Mate wants to store a car as well and works in the CCTV Business and for storage will set the premises out with super system)i've even managed to get someone who will insure the premises when i find em for theft/damage etc. i'm paying almost half the base cost of a unit rent for just 2 lockups and even with Rates and Insurance it'll be cheaper esp if I get a unit that can hold 12 cars and start a classic car storage business.. special discounts for Students ;)

Room for a bed as well? I can be nightwatchman then

I looked into getting a garage in Norwich but my insurance will go up by £500 then!! :(

Can't see why they'd rather it was used for trade than storage, they get the money either way :-?

Thats what you'd think, but guess they have enough money ;) the chap i'm renting one garage has put me down for the next garage that comes up, and if he gets two side by side i can knock a door thru so would be connected. the row has 8 garages .. now how do i get my neighbours to want to move ;) lol

Visited Ben at his chicken shed, and took his 1975 TC saloon for a drive - brought back memories :-D . Had forgotten just how big a throw the gear lever had  , but loved the sound of the twin carb motor and the MGB-like exhaust note. :-D :-D

It's the only Marina I've seen in NZ with a cloth interior, so I'm pretty sure it must have been brought it as a special order - afaik all the local cars had vinyl seats until the Mk3/1700. A good solid straight car, looking very good for a 37 year old :-D . Just a few small things needing doing to get it running, handling, and looking like new.

Good to meet up with a fellow fan  , must make it a regular event :) .

Need to work on a plan - need a garage if I want a Marina to last, and need to get the budget together to do the job properly. Talked over numbers with Ben, so I have a better idea what to aim for. 8-)

Must have a chat to the local panel beaters, and see if they know of any reasonably priced storage space handy to me.
