Mainly yesterday, I was rebuilding a couple of stainless steel lined clutch master cylinders.

Filled the boot with 5 bags of sand and one of cement from Wicks and delivered it all to my stepdaughters, I used the car as intended. I must get around to washing it sometime.

whoo.. dodgy! Given the Marina's reputation for leaking I'd take the cement out of the boot first

If you wash it Brian, Kev will accuse you of polishing it again, that's twice in four years.

Yesterday, I worked with my grandaughters boyfriend and laid a few stabs with the morter (no we didn't mix it in the boot)...........I was knacked this morning.

So I've just washed the car............. now I can see it clearly and I'll have to polish it AGAIN, its 6 months since I did it!!!!!

Kind of you to offer to polish it, but I would want it ALL polishing!

Has anyone ever repaired the element in the rear window? my rear window seal is far too good to consider removing and replacing the window. I need to check out the wiring and switch but with only isolated hot points I think its knackered.

Are the cleared bits of screen where the breaks are? Any ideas Son?

Hi Dad,
If you have hot spots that means that area is thinning so possibly about to fail. So you need to over paint those areas.
Personally never had a lot of success painting the lines back on with silver paint as i huff to much while doing the job :shifty: this gets the screen damp and then it don't stick to well.
Also use an IPA spray to degrease window first.
If their are any lines not working then you need to go from one end to the other looking for the hair line crack.
Cheers,
Son.

Thanks son,

When I feel brave enough I'll climb into the back seat to see what I can find (back problem again). I came across this http://www.holden.co.uk/displayproduct. ... de=080.109 but just as bad for assess to the rear screen

I had a new set of Goodyear tyre fitted yesterday, but I'm sure one is fitted back to front so will go back on Monday, a departure from my usual Continentals.

Applied Killroys starter mod to gabby the auto, but took took the feed trom the battery pos instead of the starter solenoid, ( more convenient ) .
Havn't fitted hidden switch yet, but works well....

Started cleaning the dash with some Autosmart G101 and spraying on Dash Dandy. Also fitted a new wheel.

Had a couple of these in stock, Chris, so thought i might as well use one.
Rated 75 amps, i know its higher than needed but takes large spade connectors for the main circuit so you can fit the large starter cable to them ( 44 0.30 ).
The other two connections for the trigger & earth are standard size.
I did buy a 30 amp fuse holder & fuse to go with it so well able to take current.
If you want the other one its yours...
