Yes the garage is still there . But the (alleged) TC is in Harvest and pigeon pooh!.
WDM221N is the plate on the car but it doesnt check out at the dvla.
I bought some bits from a guy up that way who knew about the car.
He said that it was a normal 1.8 single carb had only been on the road a couple of years and paked up with fuelling probs , having had a load of TC bits added, which lets face it is easy..especially if you are a BL dealer. Only the chassis plate will help.
Since Mr Harley's death in 2005 ish the garage has lain unused.You can see tons of parts/exhaust through the windows and an Austin/Morris1100 there too. I suspect that there are probate issues with his estate.

I know when I contacted the Sister she said she was not at all interested in the Garage so god knows what will happen to it and the contents.
Certainly been a long time as I was looking at this Marina to buy before I got the Jubilee to restore

I understand (Only Hearsay mind) that there are Daughters in the frame.....Not interested either as they are top academics.
It might be a rumour tho.

About a week ago I realised the Marina didn't want to roll down the slight slope to the garages.

Today I was allowed to do a little work so jacked it up and cleaned the brakes out, fronts just needed the pad slides cleaned, the single piston pushed back and pumped out a few times and the carrier slides were free.

The rears were almost seized, with the drum and shoes off the piston could be levered partway out and cleaned of crud and light corrosion, half an hours work meant they could be pushed, pulled out and rotated by hand, with shoes back on and manual adjustment of the auto tensioner it all worked well and good adjustment of the handbrake.

A test drive in the sun was very nice and I can carefully push it about the garage.

At the NEC Classic Car show I met a guy who had a few panels in a shed as he had finally given up the fight against rot on his Marina, would anyone like them.

As he is in Lincolnshire and not too far away I went to see him in my Marina with a trailer on the back, at least no frost just peeing it down. With the trailer full and a few bits in the boot I set off for home, checking the load and re-roping it once, but also found a large crack in one of the trailer tyres. With care I got it all home and it can dry out in the garage,4 hour trip and half a tank of petrol later.

PS Still not impressed with wax polish, as I set off for home all the water on the bonnet came up to the windscreen like a tidal wave. Never had this with the 'rat matt look'.

Quick dab on the brakes should send the tidal wave the other way - built in headlight washer.

Came home today in the rain without windscreen wipers, scary particularly with the idiot students crossing the road ahead of me.

The wipers parked themselves neatly just before I got home, didn't take long to find that the wire rack had broken just as it entered the bundy tube. So I parked it up and got the Jaguar out, it went into limp home mode in the street outside so put that in the garage. borrowed the bosses Focus to go and get a flourescent tube starter and bugger me if it won't lock in.

Flourescent tube now working, spent about 4 hours looking for my spare rack and can''t find it so ordered another nodoubt arriving after Christmas. The Jaguar just started up and ran perfectly!!!!!! nodoubt more problems to come (perfect excuse to take it to bits and open up the loom for cable breaks).

PS I tried stamping on the brakes and got a flood on the windscreen from the roof!!! waxing is rubbish.

You can use a mini replacement rack cable, no need to remove the gubbins from the car, it can be done in the car. If you check back through old Understeers, there's an article by Gary Simms, I think that it was repeated on the old forum before Ben updated it.

windscreen wiper arms off, cover off the motor, clip off the wheel arm, remove the conrod and pull the rack out, except only 2" of it came out, so turned the wheel boxes and the rest of it came out (5 minutes total).

The problem is I can't find my spare so ordered another one from SVC who will cut it to length approx £18.50 delivered.

Make sure you weld the free end up or it will spread over time and not work
I only have a Landrover spare worm for the wipers and it is shorter
