I have heard nothing from him about valuing it. I can’t understand anyone making an offer on an unknown car, with no pictures or description, unless you turn up and don’t like what you see and then renege on the deal.

If somebody wants to race it or break it they're probably not bothered.

Finally moved family from Tasmania back to Brisbane. Pulled covers off engine for coupe to see if still OK. All good. Gave it another spray & packed it back up

Well, not so much what did I do to my Marina today, but what I didn't do. This week I got further justification for wrapping mine up in mothballs for winter, and not using it as a daily driver. The 21 year old Ford Escort I chose to use as a daily driver in August, after falling out with modern daily drivers following an Astra J owning experience, received its third parking dent since August in one of the care home car parks I work at. It came with three parking dents I could justifiably want removing, it's now got six. One I put down to an Asda shopping trolley, and two from either resident visitors or staff members slamming their car door into mine while parked at work. I'm pretty sick of it. There is no way I'll use my Marina for commuting to work in the summer. I had three dents took out of that 18 months ago, and it's still got rippled panels (though some of that is poor rubbing down beneath a cheap respray) but I'm not giving anyone the chance to twang that one at work! Some people just do not care how they park or what they park next to. I had a Mercedes for nearly ten years which rusted but barely picked up any body damage through impact. The Volvo that followed it got bumped twice in the street while parked when I was a lorry driver, bumped in a Co Op car park, ran into on a roundabout and bumped outside my house! The Astra J got two minor parking dents and a bumper scuff, probably caused by someone manoeuvring at work in a tight space, in a very short space of time. Now this one keeps getting twatted. Not happy.

Not so much what I have done to my marina but to the shed /workshop its in the other week has some nasty little gits break into the shed. stole the power tools etc so spent the weekend uprating security and fitting alarms to try and prevent a repeat!

No damage to the car though? That's something at least if not. Some gits just go in to trash things.

They probably only know how to steal keyless cars these days anyway. I hope the tools were insured.

Thank you for the comments. No serious damage only that done directly to gain access. Tools insured according to my policy, but from past experience will have to do battle with the insurance Co. Police never attended but did get a CSO with some Smartwater. Couple of days later phone call from Victim Support.

Did a 280 mile round trip in the van this morning to deliver an engine and other bits through snow and some of the worst motorway spray I've ever driven in, motorways don't seem to drain water like they used to years ago. Anyway the van was perfect and good enough on fuel for a 575.

Wakey wakey! These seemed pretty heavy with moisture, though not dripping like I once saw... This coolant leak probably didn't help, though antifreeze just seems to sit there. Traced to a loose hose clip and now taken care of, I hope. It's free! And alive! Best post-winter startup I've ever had with it. This thing doesn't get any easier to fold Do you think it looks happy to be out? Better bagged than sitting in a wet garage though.

Looking good. Better in a garage than outside for sure. There used to be rows of one car garages behind my house. I think you were able rent them with the house at one time but the council eventually knocked them down:(

Yes it happens a lot now. Before the Marina I did used to rent a housing association garage in a block for a few years, but it wasn't very good and neither was the area it was in, or the housing association with their record keeping of my tenancy. In the end I was glad to get rid of it. The economy concrete one I have now (hence the condensation problems in winter) was put up as an afterthought after a classic car break, when I returned to them with Minis. On a narrow plot. As you can probably tell from the tight space around the Marina.

Finished welding up PTH and put the interior back in. The original parcel shelf fell apart so I found some of this corrugated plastic which is ideal for making the backs. Just got to fix it together now and paint it.
