Nah, definitely not Triumph 2000. The trim I have sits in the rubber, the 2000 looks wider and seems to sit on the rubber looking at the pic. The mystery go's on
The trim is almost identical to the Marina rear window in size and profile but it's not as wide in the rubber, like the later plastic trim but it's stainless.

It must be a super rare car if we can't find out what it fits, must mean it's worth a fortune as no one can locate it

Haha, it's possible! Mind you, Porsche 911 looks very similar.

Been working on the door seals again. Had another stab at the outer weatherstrip, but the 12mm clips don't seem to be long enough, or the strip is too short. Either way, managed to get a clip on by pushing the weatherstrip down almost flat, but then the rubber popped back out. Might have to see how the profile compares to East Kents.

Did the inner seal and channel rubber on the driver's door. Curiously, the quarterlight window frame has no screw hole, whereas the passengers side had 3 screws.

Then I found the screw retainer clip was missing from the bottom of the quarterlight frame. Will have to make a trip to the screw shop.

Managed to get the outer weatherstrip installed, had to fit the clips to the seal first, then push the seal down against the door until the seal lip was pretty much standing upright, then used a wallpaper scraper to lever the seal lip back up over the door edge. Looks like a snug seal now.

Then fitted the channel runner, glass and regulator, and tested that it wound up and down ok. Just the driver's door to finish now.

Got the driver's door assembled. Had to remove the quarterlight window and weatherstrip I put in the other day, because I forgot to put the windup glass in first - doh!

Then had a struggle to get the new outer weatherstrip on, had to resort to a screwdriver and wallpaper scraper in place of the five hands required. Managed to finally get all five clips on and lever the lip of the seal over the stainless trim. Inner weatherstrip went on a piece of cake. Getting the glass lined up with the front rail was a sod of job, the other had been sweet as. Regulator was a real pita until I realised ithe arm had been wound off the gear - wasn't too bad after that.

Just need to get a replacement for a screw that has gone awol, then I can reattach the rear guide rail and job done.

Battle scars - don't know how anyone with decent biceps could do the job.

Bit more fettling on the Telescopic conversion in readiness for Sundays Club event at the St Helens bus museum. Also my exhaust had become very loose at the manifold end so sounds much nicer now! A nut had also dropped off along the way so worth the look.

Polished the car for Tonys s show at St Helens North West Transport Museum tomorrow, fitted a power supply in the boot for my fridge. I have ordered some LED strip from ebay to make a boot light.
