Great progress Lee, looks really smart.
I assume the plan is new shells (since you're in that far) but to standard size?

Thanks im leaving the shells alone as they well within tolerance plus standard size ones proving hard to find.

Fair enough. I'd normally say replace them as a matter of course but if you can't find good quality new standard size ones that rather forces your hand!

Great work there, and well done with the 2 litre, they go really well.
For future reference I have quite an assortment of new bearing sets and I am pretty sure there are standard sets there.

Thanks Kilroy im still keeping a look out for bearings, whilst the engine is still this far stripped , still no luck for standard size,plenty of oversized ones out there tho .

Another lead i got was some of the Rover 820's had the O series in.

All the O, M and T series bearings will inter fit with each other.

Thanks just used Rattle cans mixed to match the paint code then clear coat lacquer over that

FWT is owned by a mate of mine's family always very helpful and have enormous stock. They have been buying up closed down Garage/Dealer stock going back to the 20's/30's. Until they moved to the NBC site in Telford, a few years ago the shop at the bottom of the Cop in Shrewsbury had hardly changed since then. A real Aladin's cave. They did feature once with old Fuzz on Car SOS.
