A few years back I saw a Triumph Spitfire 2.5 turns Quickrack in a Moss shop and the outside casing looked very similar to the Marina's. They have an alloy mount kit too which may fit. If I remember correctly though, the Spitfire rack is ahead of the axle line and so doesn't rotate the same as the Marina's. I never took it farther than standing in front of the rack and thinking 'Maybe' but it might be worth getting one beside a Marina to find out if it could work. They're currently on sale at around £135....

That's interesting. So if the RHD Spitfire turns the wrong way, does that means that the LHD version up side down would work?

OR If you move it back behind the axle line it will work - this doesn't sound right to me.

The LHD one may work if you just turn it over left to right if you know what I mean. Not sure TBH but if I could assemble some parts and get the measuring sticks out then I'd be able to say for sure. I do have a mate with a spitfire too.... :?

A RHD front-steer rack should be the same as a LHD rear-steer rack, and a LHD front-steer rack should be the same as a RHD rear-steer rack.

iirc Caterham used a LHD rear-steer Mini rack in the front-steer RHD Lotus/Caterham 7.

I got the following from Ian Harrop today two chances to see AOX in the flesh - Goodwood Festival of Speed is a blast - real recognition.

For those of you who can make it, the Marina is out on the Rally of the Midlands this weekend. With spectator stages at Mallory Park, Bramcote Barracks and the centre of Hinckley on Friday evening and Saturday there is plenty of opportunity to see us in action!

For further details see:

http://www.rallyofthemidlands.co.uk/

And for those of you who are perhaps a little more adventurous or have deeper pockets, the Marina has been invited to take part in the Rally Stage at the Good wood Festival of Speed on the first weekend of July. See:

Of course we have to make sure the car is in one piece after the Rally of the Midlands, and there are various logistical items to sort out, but our intention is to be there.
